THE VISION
His majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan

"We will ensure that everybody is computer-literate. Every single school and community will be wired to be able to do that, simply because this is the type of quality and talent that we want in our work force."
HM King Abdullah II
From the Keynote address at the Dead Sea IT Forum, March 14, 2000

When His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan addressed the monumental challenges of global development at the 2000 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, he was expressing a commitment to create a universal access to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for all Jordanians as part of an effort to join the global economy and promote sustainable human development. With this equitable access, His Majesty aspires to place Jordan at the peak of the information revolution in the Arab World, spurring growth that would extend to every segment of Jordanian society.
