Knowledge Stations

A NATIONWIDE NETWORK
The Knowledge Stations network includes more than (183) stations established over the past nine years and distributed all over the Kingdom.

The network provides integrated and comprehensive ICT services for all members in the local communities. In addition, the network is a point of access to all initiatives in ICT and other programs that aim to provide services for individuals and communities.

The strategic, tactical and all-encompassing approach adopted in establishing the Knowledge Stations facilitated the foundation of the initial prerequisites for a nation-wide interconnected platform, and provided Jordanian communities with advanced linkages for sharing knowledge and expertise whilst also synchronizing their objectives towards collectively realizing Jordan's ultimate vision for sustainable growth and development.

The selection of sites for the Knowledge Stations came as a result of a study that was conducted for this purpose by NITC. The following criterion was considered for selection:
  • - Equality in distribution of Knowledge Stations among governorates and rural and remote communities.
  • - Geographical proximities and consideration of socio-economic elements in the population of the area.
  • - Avoidance of duplication of centers in the same community.
  • - The extent of availability of community centers services by the public and private sectors in the local community.
